Who these apply to

These guidelines apply to every person using StrangerYap as a guest or registered user, from any country and on any device. By using the platform, you agree to follow them.

Immediate permanent bans

CSAM, use of the platform by minors, adult contact or grooming of minors, non-consensual intimate content, and credible threats of violence are absolute violations. They result in permanent bans and may require reporting to law enforcement.

Harassment and abuse

Do not repeatedly target, insult, degrade, threaten, intimidate, or coerce another user.
Do not continue unwanted contact after someone expresses disinterest or disconnects.
Do not target users based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

Deception, spam, and privacy

Do not impersonate another person, staff member, or moderator.
Do not misrepresent identity, age, or intentions to deceive or harm.
Do not send spam, advertise, recruit, or use bots and automated tools.
Do not share another person's private information or record them without consent.

Respectful behavior

Treat the person you are talking to as a person. Be polite, respect boundaries, accept when someone ends a conversation, and use block, report, and disconnect tools instead of escalating conflict.

Enforcement

Three reports from different users in 30 days trigger a formal review. Four confirmed violations result in a temporary ban, and five confirmed violations result in a permanent ban. Absolute violations are handled immediately regardless of prior history.

Reporting

Use the in-platform report button. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 48 hours. Serious concerns can also be sent to support@strangeryap.fun.

Updates

We may update these guidelines as the platform evolves. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines.
